Assam: Gauhati High Court directs officials to provide relief to marginalized people in Nagaon district

GUWAHATI: Nagaon based resident filed Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to raise concern for marginalized and daily wage workers who are not able to sustain in this pandemic.

To this, Gauhati High Court has directed the secretary to provide immediate relief to the marginalized people in the form of food and other daily needs in Nagaon district of Assam.

The court said, “Let the paralegal volunteers conduct the survey and give a report thereafter to the scereatary, District Legal Services Authroity, Nagaon.”
