Assam: “Drive Against Drunken Driving” continues; Guwahati Police intercepts 47 individuals

Assam Police’s “Drive Against Drunken Driving” continues as a total of 47 people were intercepted for drunk driving last night. Their licenses were suspended and a fine of ₹10,000/- was imposed on them.

Strict implementation of Traffic rules

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma recently announced the strict implementation of traffic rules on new year’s eve. Wearing helmets have already been made mandatory and violators are to be fined accordingly.

The CM also said that he won’t let any parents lose their child by accident and strict action would be taken for exceeding the speed limit of 60 km per hour.
