The Government of Arunachal Pradesh signed a memorandum of understand (MoU) with Creduce and Hydel Consultants Private Limited or the (HCPL) on Wednesday in order to cultivate and develop bamboo resources in the state.
Arunachal Pradesh signs MoU
As per reports from local media, a government official stated that this public-private partnership will lead to a cultivation which will be the world’s largest bamboo cultivation drive.
The MoU included the plantation of 100,000 hectares of bamboo which are also referred to as ‘green gold’ by the locals.
The MoU was signed by the APBRDA on behalf of the state government.
This initiative will be an integral approach to mitigate global warming and also help in boosting the state’s economy.
