Arunachal Pradesh: New Hydroelectric project of 3,700 MW to be set up in Upper Siang

Itanagar: Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein, who is also the minister in charge of power & hydropower development addressed a virtual meeting with the chief managing director (CMD) of the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) regarding the agreement on a joint venture between NEEPCO and Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Limited (HPDCAPL).

According to reports, 3,750 mw of Hydroelectric project will be set up in Siang Upper, 330 mw Kurung Dam and 90 mw New Meling Dam in the state.
