An NGO namely Arunachal Against Corruption launched a foot march to Delhi from Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh. On the allegations of corruption, the NGO demanded a CBI (Central Bureau Investigation) inquiry against Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Arunachal CM Prema Khandu Denies Rumours
Pema Khandu stated while interacting with the media, ‘’A recommendation for the renaming of the airport will be sent to the Civil Aviation Ministry, Government of India for the final approval.’’
Regarding the foot march team, Arunachal CM further added, ‘’The foot march team is a dramatic stunt. The allegations levelled against him and his government are baseless. The matter is already subjudice. The court will investigate and find out through investigation if there is any corruption or not.’’
Meanwhile, Arunachal Against Corruption has been protesting demanding action against Pema Khandu in Arunachal Pradesh for past one month. Pema Khandu and his government are allegedly involve in scams in the name of several government schemes such as Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana.
