On Thursday, 26th May, a team from the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR), led by Chairperson Gumri Ringu, met with Chief Minister Pema Khandu in his office chamber at the secretariat here and briefed him on the commission’s varied operations since its creation.

APSCPCR emphasized to increases awareness in the state
Ringu addressed the CM on the state’s child-rights issues, as well as the status and methods of operation of the functionaries and the need for increased awareness. She said the commission went on district tours from September 2021 to January 2022.

Moreover, she also emphasized the importance of creating schools for children with special needs in the Itanagar Capital Region.

The commission made recommendations and proposals to the chief minister “based on the issues and discoveries during the district visit.”
The CM promised to address the commission’s concerns, according to the commission.
Niri Chongrowju, Yaliung Tekseng, Ngurang Achung, Jumtum Minga, and Peace Moyong were all on the APSCPCR team.
