Exciting news for movie enthusiasts as Ranbir Kapoor’s highly anticipated film, ‘Animal,’ is set to make its digital debut on Netflix this January 26, Republic Day. Despite the controversy surrounding the movie, it is gearing up for a global digital release on January 15, according to reports.

‘Animal’ set to make its OTT debut this January

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga hinted at an extended version for the OTT release, sharing, “I was editing the version because there were some problems in 1-2 shots. I’m using different and a few more shots from the same take. One thing I felt was I should have left the 3 hours 30 minutes instead of 3 hours 21 minutes. I don’t know why I edited those 8-9 minutes.

Now, I will be using those 5-6 minutes extra,” revealing his intention to include scenes cut from the theatrical version. The film’s theatrical run has been a massive success, crossing Rs 850 crore worldwide, despite facing criticism from critics. The star-studded cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Pran, and others. ‘Animal’ revolves around a son’s intense devotion to his absentee father in a gloriously gory saga.

The wait for the OTT release is almost over, with the potential dates for the digital premiere falling on January 14th or 15th during the festive Sankranti week. The strategic move aims to capitalize on peak viewership during the holiday period. Netflix has secured the exclusive digital streaming rights for ‘Animal.’ Subscribers can mark their calendars for the second or third week of January, anticipating the electrifying performances of Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna on their screens.

‘Animal’ is set to captivate audiences once again, this time in the comfort of their homes, as it prepares for a global OTT release on Netflix in January, promising an extended version for fans to enjoy.
