In the coming September, Jadav Payeng from India will travel to Mexico on a special invitation to make Mexico greener. His journey is from a remote corner in the world’s largest inhabited river island Majuli to Mexico striving to make the North American country greener.
When asked to Jadav, he said that it is a project involving eight lakh hectares of land by the government of the country. Well, he needs to involve one lakh students per day to initiate the massive plantation drive.
Further, he said that he has signed an understanding for this and Mexico has provided him a visa for 10 years. He shall be in Mexico for three months every year. September, October, and November are the ideal months in Mexico to plant trees.
Back in home, known as Molai Payeng has signed an agreement with a Mexican NGO, Fundación Azteca, on December 7 to work together on environmental works in the North American country. However, Cesar Rivas, the Director of entrepreneurship and environmental action at Fundación Azteca will be the focal point to cultivate the collaboration between the institution and Jadav Payeng.
