Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has stated that the central government is avid on constructing a state-of-the-art “High Altitude Sports Training Centre” on condition that the Himachal Pradesh government sanctions them land.
Anurag Thakur, the Member of Parliament of the state said that exceptional work are being assembled to recognize Himachal Pradesh as a “sports hub” and world class amenity would be generated in every district of the state.
During a media conference, Thakur said “The central government is ready to set up a ‘National High Altitude Sports Training Centre’ near Dharamsala, if the state government provides the required land for it”.

“We will try to improve and expand sports facilities in Dharamsala in near future. We shall also work to bring more sports events to the city in near future,” said Thakur, who is also union I&B minister said.
