Aimee Baruah is astounded to feature her film “Semkhor”

Aimee Baruah gave a 10-minute speech about her feature film “Semkhor” at the Cannes Film Festival’s “Country of Honour” at the Indian Pavilion.

The amount of interest & admiration produced by ‘Semkhor’ has been simply astounding, Aimee commented on Twitter.  She also continued to say, “It’s been a tremendous honor for me, my homeland in the North East, and my country, India.”

She also expressed her gratitude to her team for aiding her in bringing a film about soil and the Assamese language to such a prestigious platform and for the immense respect it has received from all around the world.

Aimee Baruah was chosen by the Indian government to speak at the event for her film “Semkhor.” During the Cannes Film Festival, the trailer for the Dimasa-dialect film was shown.
