Three Income Tax inspectors at Goa’s Panaji office have been charged with sexually assaulting and threatening a female subordinate employee.

Income Tax Inspectors Manindar Attri of Delhi, Aditya Verma of Rajasthan, and Deepak Kumar of Bangaluru were arrested in this case on Thursday, according to sources.

Income tax inspectors were charged under IPC Sections

“All three defendants have been charged under IPC sections 354 (A), 354 (D), 509, and 506 (II) rw 34. The case is being looked into further.” Palyekar went on to say that the accused had yet to be apprehended.

According to the victim’s complaint, the defendants had been sexually assaulting her since February 2022.

According to the police, two of the accused persons were involved in sexually assaulting the victim and threatening her to delete the WhatsApp messages and other stuff from her mobile. While the third accused has outraged her modesty.

The Panaji Police Department has requested a CCTV video from the Income Tax Department.

In response to the inquiry, police stated that they had only received complaints from one woman so far.

“However, we will look into whether any other female employees have been in a similar circumstance,” the police stated.
