A 13-year-old girl in Ranchi files a complaint against the accused as she was allegedly gang-raped by 7 men which includes one of her minor friends in an isolated location on August 26.
13-year-old survivor files a complaint against the accused
On August 26, in an isolated location under Mandar police station in Ranchi, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by 7 men which included one of her minor friends.
According to the Superintendant of Police, Ranchi (rural), Naushad Alam says that the case has been registered with Mandar police station on the basis of the complaint which has been registered by the survivor.
He says, “After conducting the medical test, a case has been registered and four accused have been nabbed so far.”
4 minors held and exact age of the remaining 3 unknown
According to Mandar police station officials, 4 of the 7 who have been accused are apprehended and are minors. One of the 4 minors is friends with the survivor. Meanwhile, raids are still going on to arrest and find out the exact age of the remaining 3.
According to the complaint, one of the accused minors was friends with the survivor, and he had been the one who had called him to the specific location. When she reached the location his 6 friends were also present who allegedly raped her.
Furthermore, the police say that the survivor narrated the incident to her parents after she reached home. After which the parents approached the police and filed the complaint.
