A grade Fourth employee of GMCH or Guwahati Medical College and Hospital has been arrested on the grounds of bribe in exchange of death certificate.
GMCH bribery case
As per reports, the employee has been charged for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 to issue a death certificate. Abhijit Sharma who is the Superintendent of the GMCH said that the employee named Gautam Das has arrested for taking bribery of amount Rs 5000.
The accused who has been identified to be Gautam Das is from the Forensic Department of GMCH. The amount was received via online medium Google Pay. On getting the informing, Abhijit Sharma filed a complaint against him with the authorities.
