An infant of 7 month goes missing today morning from the Paediatric ward in GMCH. The father had supposedly handover the baby to a woman as the baby was crying. After which the child went missing from the ward.
An Infant goes missing from GMCH
As per the reports from the HoD of the Padeatric centre, The baby was admitted on 24th of March 2022 as the baby was suffering from fever and anaemia. The baby was later diagnosed to have a rare medical condition called Bilateral Hydroureyeronephrosis with cystitis.
According to the police report filed by the medical department, the infant along with the woman are missing. The report read , “ On 13/04/22 at around 4:30 am the father gave the child to an unknown lady for consoling as the child was crying and both parents fell asleep. At 5:30 am when they woke up they found the child missing along with the lady. On duty casuality officier was immediately informed by doctor on duty Dr. Hangsha Kotoky. Investigation is going on currently and police has suspicion on a woman who happened to have entered the ward late at night
