Kanhaiya Lal was brutally killed by two Muslim men in Udaipur on the afternoon of 28th June 2022. The incident sparked public horror as the attackers shared the video on social media.

As a result of the incident, a ban has been imposed in Rajasthan for a month over the heated issues. The attackers, Gaus Mohammad and Mohammad Riyas Akhtari have been arrested by the Police force.
As per reports from the quint, merely a couple of weeks before the horrific killing, Lal had been getting threats and had sought police security, his wife said.
He made a complaint on the 15th of June 2022 after receiving several death threats. The letter read, “I have heard that they will try to kill me as soon as I open my open.”
A local BJP leader has now alleged that due negligence of the police has led to the death of Lal. According to reports, ASI Bhanwar Lal has been arrested for his negligence over the matter.
