After a gap of two long years, the train services between the two neighbouring countries – India and Bangladesh finally resume on 29th May 2022. Bandhan Express which runs between Kolkata- Khulna-Kolkata and Maitree Express which runs between (Kolkata-Dhaka-Kolkata) will resume their services starting today.
Train services between India and Bangladesh
The Railway services between the countries were stopped because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As per reports from a leading news agency, Bandhan Express to start running from today onwards, 29th May 2022. Whereas Maitri Express will resume its services from 30th May 2022. Mitali Express on the other hand will run from the 1st of June 2022.
The ceremony will attended by Railway Minister of India and Bangladesh via virtual meet.
