Elena, a dog from Tezpur University has died today due to vital organ failure.
She was a very friendly and lovable dog for everyone on the campus of TU. She was always found near the fountain and always wiggled her tail every time someone passes through.

Some days earlier she was diagnosed with a tumour. On August 24, The TU Animal Welfare Club took her to the Khanapara Veterinary hospital. The vets had informed them the tumours had grown on her liver and her uterus.
On August 26, she had critical surgery and she couldn’t make it. The vets informed them the tumour had already spread to her vital organs, her blood vessels, kidney and liver and they said they couldn’t do more.
As per the doctors she had a cardiac arrest or respiratory failure. Her heart rate was drastically low two times during the operation but she survived. But unfortunately, the third time, she couldn’t able to make it.
Elena will be remembered by everyone on the TU campus.
