Tejaswin Shankar bagged a bronze medal in the men’s high jump category at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022, on Wednesday.

This is the first medal clinched by an Indian player in the category. Tejaswin took home a bronze, while New Zealand’s Hamish Kerr and Australia’s Brandon Starc won a gold and silver medal respectively.
In the first attempt, Tejaswin started with a successful jump of 2.10 m as he cleared the 2.15m hurdle with ease. And finally executing a smooth jump of 2.19m.
