Teer Update: Isn’t archery betting rather straightforward? All you have to do is properly predict where the arrow will land or how many points will be scored by the end of the round. Archery betting, or Teer, takes on a whole new meaning in Shillong’s charming tiny town.
In Shillong, it’s more of an archery-based lottery, with people from all over the city purchasing tickets from licenced operators throughout the day. These tickets are available for purchase from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the purchaser must choose from a range of 0 to 99.

The morning teer results for the date 20.10.2021 are following:-
Khanapara: First round(11:00) – 60
Second round(12:00) – 24
Shillong: First round(10:30) – 17
Second round(11:30) – 32
Method to calculate the result
Every day at 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., the results of the teer are announced, with payments of up to Rs.80 for every Re. 1 wagered.
In the first round, 50 archers from 12 archery clubs — all of whom represent the Khasi tribe – shoot 30 arrows each at 3:45 p.m., followed by another 20 arrows at 4:45 p.m. To put it another way, 2,500 arrows are fired at the target.
The bet here is on the last two numbers of the total number of arrows that hit the target. For example, if these 50 archers hit the target with a total of 1,250 arrows, the lottery winning number will be 50, which is the last two digits of 1,250, and so on.
Lottery and dreams
Another fascinating aspect of Shillong teer betting is how people choose their numbers. People have invented their own method of selecting their numbers because it is solely a lottery – by reading their dreams!
It is stated that you should choose your numbers depending on your previous night’s dream. Just ask the clerk at the ticket counter if you’re not sure what numbers your dreams mean!
