A major road accident occurred at the Pynursla area along the Shillong-Dawki highway just short of Laitlyngkot when a dumper truck hit a Maruti Swift which was hanging by a mere thread into the sheer precipice.
According to sources, the driver and front-seat passengers weren’t badly hurt. However, the passengers in the back seat have suffered major injuries and have been admitted to the hospital by the locals.
People involved in the accident
The dumper truck has been identified to have been under the ownership of National Highways and Infrastructure Development (NHIDCL).
On account of this incident, hundreds of vehicles have been stranded along the highways to get a glimpse of the horrific situation.
