School internet connectivity and smart virtual classes tested in West Sikkim. To review the preparedness of school internet connectivity and virtual classes under the Aspirational District Program of NITI Aayog, a dry run was conducted today at the conference hall of Emergency Operation Centre, Rabdentse.
School Internet and Virtual Classes Implementation
Commencing the dry run, the district collector looked over the feasibility of internet connection in schools and interacted with the participants. Moreover, he directed the concerned department to identify the challenges and guide way forward prior to actual implementation. He also directed the concerned vendors to increase operational feasibility and to ensure effective preparedness for the better session.
Present for the program were district collector Karma R. Bonpo along with additional district collector (Geyzing) Agawane Rohan Ramesh, additional director/Education department, K.C. Gyatso and students and teachers from various schools.
The program was basically to check the status of the smart classes and internet connectivity which has been provided to all the secondary and senior secondary schools of Geyzing and Soreng districts under NITI Aayog Aspirational District Program.
