In a recent cabinet shuffle, former Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal was given the Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways as well as the Minister of Ayush.
On Wednesday, he took oath as a Union Minister under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet. The recent development comes after about 43 leaders took oath as Union Minister in the recent cabinet shuffle. This will be Sonowal’s second time as a part of the Union Ministry.
