When it comes to elections, the Universities witness compelling fights amidst the parties.
On November 30, the Gauhati University commenced the Post Graduate Students’ Union (PGSU) poll where as many as 5,000 students are expected to cast their vote and the counting will take place on the very next day.
As per the sources, 8 candidates are there for the post of president, 7 candidates are competing for the vice president’s post while five of them have decided to fight for Assistant General Secretary’s post.
Support towards election
Students from all over Gauhati university and also from the colleges affiliated with the universities have extended their support and love to these candidates. Huge rallies took place during these days where students walk along with their favorite candidate. This happened for as many as three days.
And after all these days the counting took place on December 1, and the result got declared after a much-awaited tenure.
