The Reliance Jio will launch 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata by Diwali this year. On Monday, Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, said India is a beacon of growth and stability amid the global crisis. Reliance Industries is planning a 5G rollout in the country.
Reliance Jio will launch 5G to every town of India by December 2023
Mukesh Ambani said “By December 2023, we will deliver 5G to every town of India.”
Ambani said Reliance will launch India into the top ten in fixed broadband adoption.
“JioFiber is now the number 1 FTTX service provider in India, with over 7mn connected premises – a feat achieved in less than two years despite COVID-19 lockdowns. We will launch India into the Top-10 league in fixed broadband adoption, ” he said.
He further said Reliance Industries intends to connect 100 million households to high-speed fixed broadband shortly. Jio, Reliance’s telecom arm, has committed a total of Rs 2 lakh crore to the rollout of 5G services.
Akash Ambani said Jio True 5G experience centres will open soon. Mukesh Ambani also announced a partnership between Reliance and Qualcomm.
