Man deceived by fake PRC filed an FIR at Haflong police
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the individual whose Permanent Residential Certificate was forged filed an FIR with Haflong police station, and a case was opened with Haflong PS case No 52/22 u/s 420/468 0f IPC.
In his FIR, Lalnunpui Parate revealed that he had asked Albert Lalnaisang Selate to apply for a PRC (Permanent Residential Certificate) for him and his elder brother, Lalrambuotsai Parate because he would be unable to attend Council because he was on emergency duty.
After a few days, he handed him the Permanent Residential Certificate, which appeared to be forged. As a result, he sought the Council authority for verification of the Permanent Residential Certificate, where authorities from the Revenue Department, NC Hills Autonomous Council, informed him that the PRC was a forgery.

Given the gravity of the problem, the NCHAC administration has decided to verify all Permanent Residential Certificates of Dima Hasao residents, ensuring that no Dima Hasao resident is duped by a fake PRC racket.
