The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced new examination dates for the UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles on Friday, October 22. November 20,21,22,24,25,26,29,30 and December 01,03,04, and 05 are the new dates for the UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles.
NTA to be released detailed datesheet soon
The NTA website will soon include a detailed date sheet for the UGC NET tests. Candidates should check the NTA website(s) www.nta.ac.in, ugcnet.nta.nic.in for the most up-to-date information about the exam.
The UGC NET 2021 exam was supposed to start on October 17, however, it was postponed due to scheduling conflicts with other key exams. NTA has already postponed the exam in September for the same reason.
UGC NET Postponed 4 Times in 10 Months
Since December 2020, those hoping to qualify for the National Eligibility Test (NET) have been waiting for a final exam date. The UGC NET has been postponed four times in the last ten months. The December 2020 UGC NET attempt has been combined with the June 2021 attempt, but the test has yet to be held for either try.
The first pandemic, followed by clashes of UGC NET exam dates with other admission tests, forced the exam’s organizers, NTA, to delay the exam several times. The exam was last slated to take place between October 17 and 25, but it was again postponed till further notice after several postponements. There are currently no final test dates available. This has caused concern among NET candidates, who are awaiting a final judgment on their exams.
Candidates have gone to social media to express their dissatisfaction. They asked that the Education Minister announce the exam’s final dates as soon as possible. They have requested that the admit cards be released 10-15 days before the tests. They also urged that they be given 30 days’ notice before the tests and that they not be held suddenly so that they can prepare. Candidates have asked for the exam dates on Twitter using the hashtag #ReleaseNETEXAMDATE.
