After recently analyzing the pandemic scenario in the state, Assam amended its existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and reported there was an improvement in caseload and overall positivity rate.
Essential services in containment zones, such as fruit and vegetable markets, grocery stores, dairy and milk booths, and so on, can stay open until 8 pm. Food, medications, and medical equipment can now be delivered by e-commerce companies, according to the government.
The big news is Inter-district transportation is relived with 100% capacity. The curfew timing is from 9 pm-5 am, which is to be implemented from today till further notice. And as a relief to the general commuters, the government has allowed pillion riders for the ones vaccinated with at least the first dose. And wearing of masks are also compulsory.
