A huge drug consignment involving the transportation of 112 kg of Marijuana drug was seized by the Nagaon Police on the night of 24th April 2022. The consignment was seized at Chaparmukh railway station on a train that was on the way to Agartala. The incident occurred at 2:30 AM.
Nagaon Police successful operation
Dhruba Bora and his team seized the consignment , thus making it a successful operation. Other officers who were also a part of the operation are – Tridip P Kumbang Superintentdent of police headquarters, Deputy SP who assisted Inspector Manoj Rajbangshi, Officer in charge of Police Station and Inspector Hrishikesh Hazarika. All the officials celebrated the victory of successfully seizing 87 packets of the recreational drug which was carefully hidden in Special Agartala train’s water tank In coach 094321.
As per the reports from Police, they received the information of the transportation of drugs from SP in Hojai district, following which an operation was launched.
This was the second attempt of smuggling the drug, earlier another operation was successfully conducted thereby nabbing the criminals involved. They were allegedly carrying 39 packets of marijuana by train.
