Nagaland: According to reports, a i- drone project was carried out at Tuensang Parade Ground with the assistance of DEF Tuensang.
Drones can be used in delivering important life-saving medicines, and in many critical situations, thus in times of covid-19 this technology is in help too.

About the Project
The ICMR in collaboration with the State Health Authorities, shouldered the proposed pilot project.
The initiative was taken to help send Covid-19 samples from Mokokchung to Tuensang, as the district doesn’t have a Covid-19 RT-PCR testing facility.
An update from DIPR read, “The drone equipped with about 3000 units of medical supplies took about 26 minutes to reach Tuensang from Mokokchung. According to the iDrone project team, over 7000 units of medical supplies have been transported to Nagaland through this project.”
