Kohima: On Wednesday, the State’s High Power Committee has decided to extend the ongoing lockdown in the State till June 30, due to the rising COVID-19 situation in Nagaland continues to be precarious.
State High-Power Committee panel spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon said, “The HPC in a meeting today has decided to extend the Lockdown till June 30.”
Additionally, highlighting the covid scenario in the state, Kikion said, “Situation is Improving but we are still not out of the woods. Positivity rate is declining but still requires to be below 5 % and we need to vaccinate more than 50% of the population”.
He added, “We acknowledge the inconvenience faced by the people but given the circumstances we have to continue with the lockdown for now”.
