On 18th of January 2022, in Mumbai a 43 year old father and his 20 year old son were arrested for allegedly raping their 16 year old daughter.
Since the past 2 years, the father was raping the daughter and her brother used to sexually abuse her repeatedly.
She was afraid to tell anyone about this because she was staying with them and thought her young sister might get in trouble due to this. She could not speak about this to anyone and was bearing the pain all along.

This incident came to light when the girl, a class 10 student informed her school teacher and the principal.
Following this, the school contacted an NGO, which provided counselling for the girl. She was then taken to the police station to lodge a complaint.
According to her statement
The father and her elder brother was raping her from a long time. It took place for the first time in January 2019, when she was sleeping in a workshop owned by her father.
Her elder brother also sexually assaulted her the same month.
