An incident has reported from Maharashtra’s Beed, where a group of monkeys allegedly killed 250 dogs apparently to take ‘revenge’ by dropping them down from buildings and treetops. The rampage created by the monkeys because of an incident in which a pack of dogs killed a baby monkey.
Why the monkeys are enraged?
According to the villagers, the monkeys are taking revenge. It started when some dogs killed a baby monkey after which the monkeys started killing the dogs in the area in the horrific manner.
As per the locals now there are very few dogs left in the village but the monkeys have not stopped. The apes have now started targetting school-going children. The attacks have created panic among the residents of the village.
Forest departments failed to catch the monkeys
The village residents contacted the forest department about the incident and requested them to catch the monkeys in the area. The forest department officials came but failed to catch even a single monkey.
