The state of Assam gets its first mohalla clinic in Cachar district. The facility is of top notch quality and is fully funded by the state government.

The aim of nuilding such an institution in far off and less developed areas of assam was to initiate and the growth of self sustainance in these areas. The clinic is said to be opened every other night .
The inauguration ceremony was conducted by the deputy commissioner of the cachar district, Keerthi Jalli on Sunday.
The event was held at the Madhupur Village in the Cachar district of Udharbond block. The above project is a part of the initiative taken by the Assam government under the banner name of Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana.
The initiative was started before the arrival of the Covid 19, during the early years of 2018 to later half of 2019.
The main agenda of the development was to create an all around empowerment and self sustainance plan for the growth of these far off villages in assam.
Some of the services and facilities were promised to be provided all round the year, and quality services of public undertakings including the department of sanitation, water facility, setting up of educational institutions are to set up on a regular basis.
The Mohalla Clinic will in a way help all people in the villages to go for regular checks and keep their health on checks without the need for travelling to the capital city.
In addition she further added that, “the initiative will offer medical aid to those who have been deprived of proper timely treatment for long.”
