With the recent rise in COVID cases in the country, the Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the backing of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), has come ahead to lend a helping hand towards the people in need.
Distribution of Food
On Thursday, December 17, the Lunglei Battalion of the Assam Rifles distributed essential food items to a few needy families of a village called Laki in Mizoram.
Committed to their slogan: “Friend of Hill People”, the Assam Rifles has always been actively working across the region to spread awareness among the locals about the gruesome COVID-19 pandemic and support the needy and the poor.
According to a press release, the locals of Laki village appreciated the Assam Rifles and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the helping hand during these hard times.
Awareness Lecture on PM Kisam Samman Nidhi Yojana
Furthermore, the Serchhip Battalion of the Assam Rifles conducted an awareness program on ‘PM KISAN SAMMAN NIDHI YOJANA’ at Zokhawthar of Mizoram, on Wednesday, December 15.
