Mirabai Chanu brings Gold Medal
The weightlifter from Northeast India, won the gold medal in the 49 kg clean and jerk event. She lifted 210 kg and won the gold.
Other players, Gururaja Poojary secured a bronze in men’s 61 kg category by lifting a total of 269 kg.
Sanket Mahadev Sagar had earlier opened the medals tally and secured a silver at the men’s 55 kg category. He lifted 135 kg in his first attempt of clean and jerk event.
