The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival in Meghalaya is all set to kickstart from the 25th of November this year.
It may however be noted that the entry will be open to doubly vaccinated attendees only.

The Cherry Blossom Festival, which began in 2016, is a multi-day and multi-event festival that features a wide range of attractions, activities, and art.
The event, which takes place during the autumn flowering of Shillong’s famous cherry blossom trees and nearby towns, creates a lovely and natural setting for individuals who want to experience both modern and traditional components of Meghalayan culture.
The festival this year will be observed in two venues: Venue 1 being Ward’s Lake and venue 2 being 2nd ground, Polo.
Venue 1 from 10:00 am-6:00 pm will hold a Literature Festival, alongside ‘The Stage’; a category to showcase award-winning authors, National Publishers, Literary Agent, Visual Arts, Storytellers, Sustainable Fashion, Music and lyrics, booksellers, and film writing including a ‘Reading Hub’, ‘Art and Writing Youth Engagement’ and a ‘Food and Beverages Market’.
Venue 2 from 3:00 pm-10:00 pm will host various events like competitions like Singing, Fashion Show, Cosplay, Local Beer Making, Japanese/Korean food, Mr and Miss Cherry Blossom, Mrs. Cherry Blossom and Graffiti along with events like Fashion Show by upcoming designers, national and local performances across all 3 days and international headlining performances.
Other attractions include food stalls, wine, and beer stalls, and a makers market.
