Saurav Tea Traders with the highest bid of Rs.99,999.00 per kilogram bought tea from “MANOHARI GOLD TEA” in Sale No 50 held at Guwahati Tea Auction Center.
Yet once again “Manohari Gold tea” from Assam has managed to create a new record.
And not to forget it has broken its own record of Rs 75,000 per kilogram to create history with a whopping price.
About the tea
Speciality of the tea is that it has been made from the finest second flush colonel tea buds and can be handpicked only at dawn.
About Guwahati Tea Auction Center
GTAC was established in 1970. It is one of the busiest tea trading facilities in the world.
It is located in Guwahati and its primary commodity under the hammer is Assam tea. It has seen the largest volume of CTC tea auctions in the world.
This year too the GTAC got another opportunity to sell Manohari Gold tea in the auction, thus creating a historic bid.
