After winning the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, Lovlina Borgohain from Assam is now aiming to change the medal’s colour at the 2024 Olympics.
“My next goal would be to change the colour of the medal at 2024 Olympics.” said Lovlina.

Lovlina dedicated her victory to the entire nation
“I’m dedicating this medal to the entire nation, who have been rooting for me,” said Lovlina Borgohain.
“My years of hard work has finally paid off. It was my dream to have an Olympic Medal and finally I can cherish that moment.” added Lovlina.
On Wednesday, in the welterweight women’s boxing at the Tokyo Olympics, the 23-year-old lost her semi-final against a Turkish called Busenaz Surmeneli.
With that loss, she had to stand at the position of bronze medalist. Sources said she lost to Busenaz Surmeneli in 0-5.
Entire nation to celebrate her win
Lovlina, with a bronze medal, became only the third Indian boxer to win an Olympic medal and make the entire country proud after Vijender Singh and Mary Kom.
