London auction witnesses a beautifully captured painting on the momentous victory of the indian rulers over the britishers. The painting is up for sale at the auction.

The beautiful painting based on the Indias greatest win is up on sale at the London Auction. The bis was started over 70,000 pounds.

The painting showcases the painting of the Battle of Pollilur. Tipu Sultan and Haider Ali who were the sultans of the mysore kingdom were at the forefront at the battle.

Tipu Sultan who was also known as the Tiger of Mysore never bowed down before the britishers. He was the most fierceful of all but was defeated and later killed in the year 1799.

Many people at the auction including William Dalrymple described the painting as “arguably the greatest Indian Picture of the defeat of colonialism that survives.”

William has written several books on history and one of his books on the Indian rulers and the british east india company narrates how the battle of pollilur was near to a victory over the britishers.
