India’s brave soul, Captain Ashutosh Kumar who lost his life in the Line of Duty back in the year 2020, receives India’s most prestigious award, The Shaurya Chakra on Tuesday.
Shaurya Chakra is the third-highest civilian award in the country and late Captain Ashutosh Kumar received his posthumous award from President Ram Nath Kovind.
The ceremony was held in Rashtrapati Bhawan and the award was received by the braveheart’s parents for his act of valour.

Late Captain Ashutosh Kumar
The late Captain Ashutosh Kumar hailed from a small village in Parmanpur in Bihar’s Madhepura area. The captain has two sisters and his father works in a veterinary hospital while is mother is a homemaker.
He did his schooling at Sainik School and was said to be one of the brightest students in his class. He finished his schooling after which he joined the NDA academy in Pune and later completed his training from IMA, Dehradun.
The braveheart lost his life during his Line of Duty, while he was countering terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir on the 8th of November 2020.
