‘Kooki’ 2022: Hindi film completes its inaugural shoot in Uzanbazar

On June 2, the Muhurat shoot for “Kooki”, an upcoming Hindi feature film by Assam-based production firm Niri9, was concluded successfully at Uzanbazar

The “Kooki” film, directed by Pranab J Deka, will be shot in two Assam cities: Tezpur and Guwahati and will include a glittering star cast of prominent Bollywood and regional artists.

The film, whose Muhurat was shot on June 2 with prominent Assamese actors Udayan Duarah and Bondip Sarma, is expected to be a promising film with a strong cast.

However, the feature film will be shot in Hindi, but it will also be dubbed into various regional languages.

Moreover, Dipannita Sharma, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rajesh Tailang, Swastika Mukherjee, Udayan Duarah, Bibhuti Bhushan Hazarika, Bondip Sarma, Ranjeev Lal Barua, Kamal Lochan, Preety Kongkona, Siddhartha Mukherjee, and others will star in “Kooki”, which is directed by Pranab J Deka.

The film promises to be a powerhouse of fine arts, thanks to the casting of young actor Ritisha Khaund. Bodhisattva Sharma, an Assamese actor who starred in the popular online series “Patal Lok,” will have a significant role in the film.

Dipannita Sharma, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, and Rajesh Tailang will play key roles in the film, according to the production team. The trio will, however, join the squad at a later point in the shoot.

Junmoni Devi Khaund is the film’s producer. 

Meanwhile, Amrit Pritam will compose the film’s soundtrack and sound design, which will be written by Bishnujyoti and Pranab J Deka. The picture is set to hit theatres at the end of the year.

“It’s a delight to be able to work with such talented performers in my motherland,” director Pranab J Deka remarked of his experiences working in a Hindi cinema in Assam. 

In addition, he said, “In Assam, cinema has seen remarkable growth in recent years, and I am sure that with Kooki, we will be able to add even more value to it.”
