The internet is buzzing with wedding rumours about Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal. According to the Times of India, the two celebrities are planning to marry in November or December of this year.
According to the ETimes, their wedding attire is being made by ace fashion designer Sabyasachi, and the rumoured pair met with the designer to discuss their big day. However, a person close to the situation has already debunked the wedding rumours.
Busting the bubble
According to Bollywood Life, the rumour is fake and has no basis in fact.
A highly placed industry insider has told Bollywoodlife, “This is absolutely rubbish. The two actors have no such plans.
It has become a trend for some to circulate such stories about Vicky and Katrina every few months.”
On the other hand, ETimes quoted a source saying, “Their wedding outfits are being designed by Sabyasachi.
They are currently in the process of choosing fabrics for the same; Katrina has chosen a raw silk number for her ensemble, which is going to be a lehenga.
The wedding will take place in November-December.”
The Roka rumours
According to the report, Katrina and Vicky were involved in a secret roka ceremony on August 18.
Vicky had previously spoken out about his engagement rumours with Katrina, telling ETimes, “The news was circulated by your friends (laughs).
I’ll get engaged soon enough when the time is right. Uska bhi time aayega (the time will come).”
Sunny Kaushal, Vicky’s brother, also spoke out about the roka rumours earlier this year, telling SpotboyE, “I remember that Vicky had gone to the gym in the morning when the rumours started coming.
So, when he returned home, mom and dad funnily asked him, ‘Arre yaar, teri engagement ho gayi, mithai to khila de (We heard you got engaged, please treat us to sweets)’.
And then Vicky told them, ‘Jitni asli engagement hui hai, utni asli mithai bhi kha lo (Since the engagement is imaginary, the sweets will be too)’.”
Since the rumours about Katrina and Vicky began to circulate, the stars have opted to keep their mouths shut.
Katrina Kaif and Vicky never confirmed they are dating
While Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have never confirmed that they are dating, neither have they denied it. When asked if he is dating Katrina in a 2020 interview, Vicky declined to address the question.
He had said, “I hope you respect this. I really want to guard my personal life to some extent because if you open up, it leads to discussions and interpretations and misinterpretations. That is something I am not inviting.”
