Rahul Bhat, a Kashmiri pandit was fired upon by a terrorist group in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Bhat was reportedly critically injured and was moved to a hospital but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
As per the reports of the police, Bhat was killed by two terrorists who had barged into the premises of the government office and took a shot at Rahul Bhat who was an employee at the office.

“Terrorists fired upon one employee namely Shri Rahul Bhat from the minority community in Tehsildar office Chadoora. He has been shifted to hospital.”
The target that has been targeted against the Government Official who also falls as a minority in the region is the latest attack over the past eight months.
The killings started last October and the victims were reportedly migrants, and Kashmiri Pandits.
Over the last few months, the security forces have increased their operations in the area and have launched a major crackdown in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
