Jorhat and Majuli Ferry Services has been shut down for an indefinite period of time as the weather condition in the state worsens. The water level of Barack and Brahmaputra are above the danger level.
Ferry services suspended
As per reports, the services has been shut at the Nimati Ghat, Kamlabari and others.
Many places at the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh have been witnessing moderate to heavy rainfall in the last couple of days. This has resulted in damaged road and railway communication.
As of now, three people have lost their lives and more than 20,00 people affected.
