Jorhat Engineering College defies government orders: Charges huge amount of admission fees from students

Looking at the view of Covid-19 situation in Assam, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma the then Education & Health minister announced last year to waive all admission fees including fees for exams, laboratory, excursion, etc for the 2020-21 session.

Whereas all other Educational institutions are following the Government order, but Jorhat Engineering College, is charging a huge amount from the students defying all government orders.

In a curriculum issued by, JEC its seen they are charging a whopping amount of more than Rs 22,000 for a semester in Mtech, putting a lot of pressure on the students in the time of pandemic which has already affected a lot of families financially.
