Jongal Balahu Tourist Centre: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced the creation of the Jongal Balahu Tourist Centre in Nagaon district. The Chief Minister mentioned the Tiwa community is an integral part of Assamese people.

This new project aims to keep the culture and traditions of the community alive and more and more people come to know about the same.
The Chief Minister mentioned music, dance, cuisine, language and art are all essential parts of the culture of any particular community. This project will serve as a destination to showcase the Tiwa culture.
”This complex will house several tourism facilities. Some of them include a museum of Tiwa life and culture, a gallery or amphitheatre and a cultural centre,” the Chief Minister further added.
