A female traveler was apprehended at Jaipur International Airport on Wednesday carrying over 618 g of pure gold valued Rs 30.64 lakh, according to a Customs official.

The traveler had flown in from Sharjah on Air Arabia aircraft G9 435, which landed at the airport today, and was detained on suspicion.
During the passenger’s search, the official discovered yellowish granular paste packaged in two transparent polyethylene bags and wrapped in black carbon tape hidden in her underwear.

He claimed that gold with a purity of 99.50 percent and a weight of 618.40 grams was recovered from the paste and seized under the Customs Act of 1962.
