An online International Conference in “Rethinking about Women’s Empowerment in Society and Literature” was organized by the Department of Bengali, Sindri College, Sindri in collaboration with Bijni College, Bijni on 28/01/2022 & 29/01/2022.
About the International Conference
It was inaugurated jointly by Dr. Nakul Prasad, Principal, Sindri College, Jharkhand and Dr. Birhash Giri Basumatary, Principal, Bijni College, Assam. The conference was attended by the renowned personalities like Kamal John Lakra, V.C., and Dr. Devjani Biswas, D. S. W., Binod Bihari Mahato Koylanchal University, Dhanbad.
Convenor of the conference was Dr. Sarmistha Acharyya,Sindri College, Sindri and joint Convenor was Dr. Urmila Poddar, Bijni College, Bijni.
In this conference Dr Nurten Birlik , Turkey ; Dr. Shams Aldine, Bangladesh; Mr Kamalesh Dasgupta, Dr. Sujay Kumar Mandal, Head, Department of Folklore, University of Kalyani, Dr. Sanjoy Mukherjee, Member judge of Lok Adalat, Dr. Apurba Kumar Dey, were present as resource person and Dr. Narugopal Dey and Dr. Dhrubajyoti Pal of Sidho – Kanho-Birsha University , WB were present as chairpersons.
The aim of this two-day international conference was to rethink and re-evaluate the process of women empowerment that has become so widespread in the 20th and 21st century, and also to re-examine its acceptability.
International Webinar on Environmental Issues
A two day International Webinar on “Environmental Issues: Risk, Management and Sustainable Development” has been organized by the Science Stream, Bijni College, Bijni in collaboration with Aaranyak on 28th & 29th January, 2022. The renowned scholars Dr. Arup Kumar Misra (India), Dr. Dipak Nath (India), Dr. Hilloljyoti Singha (India), and Dr. Bibhab Kumar Talukdar (USA) glorified the occasion with their presentations as invited speakers besides the registration of forty scholars as paper presenters.
The webinar witnessed meaningful deliberations and interactions on various environmental issues and their likely solutions.
