India recorded the highest rate of Covid-19 recovery since March 2020 at 98.40 percent.
On the other hand, Omicron cases in India crossed 400 mark. Presently, India has recorded 415 cases of the Omicron variant.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 77,032
Most of the states have already imposed certain restrictions such as night curfew have been reintroduced. Also, there are instructions to put limits on mass gatherings and usage of masks.
Presently, India has 77,032 active cases of Covid-19, the lowest in 579 days.
Also 7,286 recoveries have been recorded in the last 24 hours, making the count 3,42,23,263.
The total caseload is 3,47,79,815. The weekly positivity rate (0.60%) has been less than 1 per cent for the last 41 days.
According to WHO, Omicron is a highly contagious variant. It has spread to over 89 countries which was first detected last month in southern Africa.
