On Monday, a 26-year-old student from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay allegedly died by suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of the campus building.
Student allegedly jumped from seventh floor
According to a report by India Today, the police stated the deceased was a second-year master’s student, he allegedly jumped from the seventh floor at around 4:30 am today.
After a watchman discovered his body, he was immediately taken to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar where the authorities declared him dead.
Police found Suicide note, was suffering from depression

Meanwhile, the police has also recovered a suicide note from his hostel where he mentioned that he was suffering from depression and was undergoing medical treatment and do not hold anyone responsible for his death.
Additionally, the Powai Police registered a case of ‘accidental death’ in this matter, while further investigation is underway.
